subterfuge The excitement of President Obama’s first election has soured sufficiently now that I even notice that he is soft on radical Islam and Muslim extremists. Another Presidental politician’s shell game. It was nice that he became the first non-Caucasian American leader, yet I have never considerd him the “first black President” as so many have. He is not a Black American, in my opinion – he is just brown and not really “down” with us. He has done nothing to promote true Black American men during his tenure. He is a woman’s President.

As we commemorate Pearl Harbor Day here in 2015 I wonder how many people I drive next to daily or work with even know the importance of this day and how it is even more relevant now when juxtaposed against the backdrop of the September 11, 2001 attacks and the recent evil perpetuated by the barbarians in France that are spawned in its wake.
I agree with United States of America Presidential candidate, Mr Donald Trump, that we should sequester all “Muslims” who have come the USA in the past ten years or so and make them register as President Franklin Delano Roosevelt et.al did with the Japanese following the Pearl Harbor attack on December 7, 1941. We must stop the madness!

If you are going to immigrate to “the West” and in-particular, the United States, then you should dress as WE do. No burkas or other loose clothing that can conceal bombs or suicide vests allowed! Have we not learned this by now? Here at the the end of the year 2015, there is no longer a place for “politically correct” defense of my country. Ah, “politically correct” – a phrase created by the President William Clinton and his wife who is, not so coincidentally running for president in 2016 – another dumb move and I will move to another country if she and her band of idiots is elected.

We lost the fight after “9/11” and ever since the Camel Jockies are increasingly kicking our collective traditional asses with these cowardly surprise attacks upon innocent people trying to have a life – and for what gain? I am including Paris, France and all of the “NATO” winners of World War II in this. I am including Russia in this summation. Now is the time for the nations who built a positive world history in the wake of World War I and II and of the past three hundred years or more to conciliate a succinct Hiroshima/Nagasaki strategy to annihilate this annoying “Isshit” threat once and for all so that we can come back to at least an 1980s-style, Peace on Earth, collateral damage and all. They asked for it, we should give it to them! For our present and for your children’s future.

2015 Pick Hitts: A fashion trend which should end in 2016: “Hoodies”. They make you look suspicious, like a thug, “terrorist” or even like a Ku Klux Klansman (Citadel cadets). I have observed foolish guys who drive with them on inside their vehicles! Stupid – you cannot hear enough and it dulls your all of the senses you need to drive and avoid a wreck!
Hoods used to mean “thugs” or gangsters in the 1960s; Hooded sweatshirt were once only a functional item in our closets to be worn in bad weather! So lets return them to that status in 2016!

I long for the days when I could “sleep like a dead man”. Do you remember when you were a carefree kid and your sleep was sweet? I remember when I slept so deeply that I could not recall my dreams! Now, with so much shit on my mind daily, it is difficult to “quiet the mind” enough to sleep long and soundly – without “PM” drugs, lol Bring back the good old days! Is this what is it when you are over sixty and healthy – things like cuts and colds take two months to heal? I am sure that once I move to my next and final destination with my new wife and my music free from basement storage, I will have “sweet dreams are made of this” again. Pray for it – for all of us.

~ And finally, Dear network television and radio News Directors, Please find other words to use other than “terrorism”. It is so played-out that “terrorism: now reminds me of Halloween! There are so many other words that more accurately portray the barbaric violence of people blowing themselves up in the name of Allah or randomlyly shooting up innocents that you can use that would even galvanize we-the-people to rise up in-force to combat this meanace! Here are one-hundred-sixty-two of them https://www.powerthesaurus.org/terrorism

Oh, I forgot, you are in bed with the corporations who perpetuate this fear-mongering to improve your ratings. As TV sportscaster, Warner Wolf unsed to say, “Turn your set off there!”

Comments and corrections are always cheerfully encouraged and thanks for supporting my blog all of these years.

In my veteran musical experience, I have noticed that very, very often the simplest, most logical themes catch-on when put to music and they become hits. We saw this with the “bubblegum” era, circa The Jackson Five and New Edition, The Bangles or more recently, Carly Rae Jepsen and many other acts and singers. However this new edition to the Country genre, “God Save Us All From Religion” by the up-and-coming Jay Jolley, not only opens the dialogue for cultural discussion and real everlasting change, but is yet another example of something so obvious that needed to be said, that it finally became a song! “Let us pray” that it becomes a terrorist-defusing, calming worldwide anthem! I smiled confidently when I first watched and listened to the video…

Written by the legendary Charlie Daniels, Kim Williams “the hit-maker” and songwriter/producer, Doug Williams, “God Save Us All From Religion” speaks to my choir because I have long said that religion has been and is responsible for most of the political disputes, land-grabbing and eventual wars on earth. Mankind must now step back and get over this anew.

I spent over a decade in my newly-adopted hometown of, Nashville, Tennessee, and I miss the place dearly for many reasons. And while it was not all “gravy” (see my book, “He’s In A Meeting…Adventures In Getting Past Gatekeepers…” [Create Space/Amazon] ), I embraced a newfound appreciation for struggling songwriters with a dream, the plethora of guitar players there, and Country music in-total as I met many of the biggest artists at the annual Nashville music and radio industry convention, “CRS” on-behalf of Michelle Jasko and Nashville Radio Syndication.

The Martha E. Moore’s “so much MOORE media” press release tells us some more about this creative country upstart, “[he is] a pianist with a soulful touch and singer with incredible range and passion, Jay Jolley has risen from the endless ranks of the regionally-successful to an up-and-coming contender on the national Country scene. Jolley has opened shows (with his own band, as lead singer forThe Notorious Johnnys or as frontman and keyboardist for the band2XL) for top-tier acts like The Black Crowes, Sass Jordan, Rick Springfield, Burton Cummings, John Alec Entwistle and UFO. Currently based in Rochester, Michigan, this singer/songwriter enjoyed previous chart success with his previous Country single, “It’s a Friday Thing (A Little More Country).”
Wow, his time is now! The lightheartedness of his approach appeals to me. I really dig and lol with the first lyric, “He was building a beer can castle at the end of the bar
He said ‘Bud we better get wiser … ’cause we’ve gone too far…”

Pickhitt! New Video as of September 30, 2013!

The thing about a lot of Country music is that it is culled from true-life, down-home or back woods family drama, but simultaneously you cannot take it too seriously even as if you identify with the song’s scenario. So it is and I advise you to approach Jay Jolley’s appeal here. I just had this conversation with several new associates over beverages during recent days – religion and politics, as well as the 24-hour cable TV news cycle, are the most divisive forces in media these days – and it must stop. That’s what’s UP.
I stopped watching “the news” on TV in 2008! My overall well-being is much the better for having made that decision, thank God.
I give Jay Jolley three-and-a half out of five “bold-one” stars for “God Save Us From Religion”. I admire the writers, theme, message and the music.

Check out Jay’s comments here:

I agree with Jay when he says, “If we could all put aside our anger and prejudices and just talk then the world would be a much better place.Preaching to the choir again, Jay!
Can I get an “Amen!?”

Ya see, I agree with these people that until you make a statement example of one of  these truly mean and misguided, cowardly individuals they will continue to attempt this kind of spit.  I bet after we threw his butt outta the plane, we truly peaceful travelers wouldn’t have to be subjected to privacy-violating searches at the airport. LOL

pickhitt: George Michael (of “The Sports Machine” fame on NBC) dies at age seventy on Christmas Eve, and although most of you probably know him as the sports highlight guy even before the ESPN monopoly, I remember him as the guy who had a tough act to follow when, during I guess one of Musicradio WABC AM’s staff shakeups around 1970, he had to replace “Cousin” Brucie in his time slot and we native New Yorker teenagers were not exactly into him with open arms.  To me he had an attention-gettting sound that he developed as a disc jockey and served him well.  It is another sad commentary that there are no chances for a young disc jockey on terrestrial radio to grow into a George Michael anymore these days because of the mistaken deregulation of the industry that began in the late 1980s.  “This is Geeorrrrrge Mich-aelllll” he would say.  RIP
